De zoektocht naar de perfecte foundation is geen easy mission. Hij moet namelijk de juiste kleur, structuur en ondertoon hebben. En om het nog lastiger te maken: dierproefvrij en zo natuurlijk mogelijk. Ik heb een trial pack van het award winnende merk Inika getest. Is mijn zoektocht ten einde?
Inika is een groen make-up merk. Het merk heeft al 35 awards(!) gewonnen vanwege hun topproducten én natuurlijke ingrediënten. Alle producten zijn gecertificeerd veganistisch, biologisch, niet getest op dieren en milieubewust. Waarom dat belangrijk is lees je hier. Daarbij zijn ze ideaal voor de gevoelige huid (hello me). Kortom: Inika is een vegan merk dat ik moet proberen.
Inika is helaas alleen online verkrijgbaar. Ik heb bij De Groene Drogist een trialpack bestelt. In het pakket zitten drie foundations en een primer. De trialpacks zijn te vinden in 4 kleuren: light, light medium, medium dark en dark. Een pakketje kost €10,-. Betaalbaar voor zo’n arme student als ik. Ik koos voor de de kleur light. Ondanks de zomer is mijn teint namelijk gebroken wit.
In het pakketje vind je:
- 1x Mineral Foundation Poeder Grace (0,7 gram)
- 1x Mineral Foundation Poeder Strength (0,7 gram)
- 1x Certified Organic Liquid Mineral Foundation Cream met Hyaluronic Acid (4 ml)
- 1x Certified Organic Pure Primer met Hyaluronic Acid (4 ml)
Dit zijn de swatches van de producten. Van links naar rechts: de primer, vloeibare foundation, poeder Strenght en poeder Grace. De producten lijken qua kleur te matchen. Ook smeert het goed uit en voelt het fijn aan op de huid. Tot nu toe al veelbelovend.
Let’s put it to the test!
Dit is mijn naked face met alleen mascara, eyeliner en wenkbrauwpoeder. Van mezelf heb ik een droge huid met een beetje shine.
Certified Organic Pure Primer met Hyaluronic Acid
De primer belooft:
– Kan tot 1000 x zijn gewicht in water vasthouden.
– Vermindering van de verschijning van fijne lijntjes en rimpels.
– Extra hydratatie voor een perfecte basis.
– Verhoging van de elasticiteit van de huid.
– Een jeugdige gloed.
Ik zie eerlijk gezegd weinig verschil, maar ik voel het wel. Mijn gezicht voelt gehydrateerd en smooth. De primer ruikt een beetje gek, maar dat is vaak zo met bio producten. Het smeert makkelijk uit en trekt redelijk snel in. Mijn gezicht is nog steeds shiny maar hij belooft ook geen mat effect. Een fijne primer, ook op zichzelf! Een full size primer is €38.
Certified Organic Liquid Mineral Foundation Cream met Hyaluronic Acid
De vloeibare foundation belooft:
– Langdurige hydratatie.
– Vlekkeloze en stralende finish gedurende de dag.
– Intensieve hydratatie.
– Vervaging van de rimpels
De foundation brengt easy aan. Ik heb hem zelf aangebracht met mijn Real Techniques spons. De geur is net zoals de primer, een beetje bio-achtig. De foundation geeft een lichte dekking waardoor het natuurlijk oogt. Maar met een extra drupje zijn de poriën rondom mijn neus helemaal gone. De kleur vind ik niet echt match. Het geeft me een soort oranje gloed. Verder is de foundation is fijn, maar ik ben niet blown away. Ik heb niet het gevoel alsof ik een dure foundation op mijn gezicht heb. Een full size vloeibare foundation is €38.
Mineral Foundation Poeder Strength en Grace
Ik heb nog nooit een minerale poeder foundation geprobeerd. Simpelweg omdat ik van een flinke dekking hou én ik onhandig ben. Er zit meer meer op de grond dan op mijn gezicht (ook in dit geval). Er wordt aangeraden om het aan te brengen met een kabuki brush. Ik heb deze helaas niet, dus ik pakte gewoon mijn blush kwast. Een full size minerale poeder is €34.
De minerale poeders beloven:
– Concealer, foundation en poeder in één.
– Uitzonderlijke prestaties en pure ingrediënten.
– Een onberispelijke afwerking.
– Een stralende, gezonde gloed zonder de poriën te verstoppen of de huid te irriteren.
De lichte minerale poeder Grace heb ik hier aangebracht. Ik vind deze een mooi effect geven. Het lijkt niet alsof ik foundation op heb. Mijn gezicht lijkt net iets egaler en matter. Poriën en donkere kringen bedekt ie niet helaas helemaal, maar dat kan een concealer wel fixen. De kleur vind ik wel goed matchen. De poeder lijkt me fijn i.p.v. setting powder of als je geen dikke plamuur wilt. Gek genoeg moest ik wel vaak niezen door deze poeder.
De donkere minerale poeder in Strenght heb ik hier aangebracht. Net als Grace geeft het een heel natuurlijk effect. Mijn gezicht lijkt iets meer flawless zonder het cakey te maken. Over de kleur twijfel ik een beetje. Hij is net iets meer oranje, waardoor het niet helemaal matcht. Maar wie weet als ik een paar dagen in de zon zit. En anders in de winter als bronzer.
Ik vind de producten van Inika fijn, maar ik ben niet blown away. De foundations doen hun werk maar ik heb niet echt een wow-effect wanneer ik ze aanbreng. Een groot pluspunt vind ik wel dat mijn huid gehydrateerd aanvoelt na het aanbrengen. Ik merk dat het natuurlijke ingrediënten zijn die mijn huid goed verzorgen. Ik ga mijn trial pakketje zeker opmaken. Wie weet, misschien schaf ik de primer en minerale poeder in Grace aan!
